How to clean a diamond ring?

Unfortunately, one of the features of a diamond is that it easily adheres on it's surface grease and dirt (such as creams, body lotions etc), which eventually causes you to see your stone less clean and vivid.
No panic! Cleaning your diamond ring at home has never been easier. Just simply follow a few steps detailed below and your ring can quickly regain it's original sparkle.
How to clean your diamond ring at home?
Cleaning your diamond is relatively straight forward and not a time consuming procedure, therefore it can be easily accomplished using a few materials, which most probably you already have them in your home so you won't even need to obtain them from somewhere else.
You will need the following:
3.5 oz water
Cup
Boiler
Dishwashing liquid soap
Baby toothbrush
Hairdryer
Follow the next steps below and you will be to clean quickly your diamond ring::
1. Boil up some water (3.5 oz will do)
2. Place into a cup small amount of dishwashing liquid soap
3. Pour the boiling water into the cup filled with dishwashing liquid soap.
4. Place the diamond engagement ring into the cup filled with hot water and dishwashing liquid soap and let it rest for 20 minutes.
5. Grab a baby toothbrush and clean your diamond from all sides. We recommend using a baby toothbrush as those are more soft and less likely to scratch the surface of the diamond.
6. If you feel it is now well cleaned, rinse it with hot tap water and make it completely dry using a hairdryer.

What else should I pay attention to?
It is important to protect your diamond ring and when possible, let it "rest" sometimes. It is advised to take off the ring when you are using hand lotion or while dishwashing. By this, you can avoid unnecessary potential damage or grease sticking on it.
Going forward I always advice to not wear the ring during sports, sleeping or taking a shower. During these activities the ring is vulnerable and can get easily dirty or even damaged.
